Itanagar, is known as the 'Land of Dawn-Lit Mountains' as this is the first place in India to witness the sunrise. The ruins of the fort are the prime attractions of the fort. Tourists visiting the fort can have a glimpse of the magnificent architectural style of the Ahom Kings who built the fort.
